THOMAS FAES is a  small office for both garden and architecture projects. We focus on interventions that try to resonate as much as possible by using context as our poetry. Be it in the plants already present or the soil dictating what will grow for gardens, or the immediate built context for architecture projects.  We try to elaborate the emotions and structures that are already there. 

Besides his activities and research in gardens and landscape, Thomas Faes is also an architect. With the belief that architecture has to develop from its context, landscape plays a defining role in this architecture practice. The expertise of this architecture office, translates back in our gardens and larger landscape projects, giving it a firm technical backbone.

Besides his work on behalf of THOMAS FAES, he is also a founding partner of GRAFT, an architecture office run together with Marie van Kerckhoven.
